The Center

What do we do will all these yearnings?
These inconsistent tugs at the heart?
The jolting thoughts, which ping pong around our minds?

Who am I?
What is my purpose?
Will it rain so more again today?
I hope the children are safe and happy.

It seems the barrage of thoughts never ends,
even when we sleep.

Our rest is found in finding a word or phrase to center us with its mantra.
Our anchor can be found inside our soul,
Beneath our breath
As we open our hearts to a word, just one word,
That has the power to shift our perspective back to where we know
We are safe,
We are loved,
We are good.

Search for that word inside of you.
What is it?
The word that centers you and brings you back to life.
Give it its voice.
