Me-Time

Posted On June 27, 2017

There is a time in the morning,
before the dawn breaks—
before the moon has rested—
a time to sit and listen as the birds greet first-light.

Me-Time.

A time when there are no constraints,
where no one needs anything and no one is pulling at us.
A time when there are no responsibilities except to Be.

Me-Time.

The coffee tastes rich and black.
I light a candle,
sink into the couch,
and gaze out the window.
The only ones in this sacred space are my dog, the birds, the Creator, and me.

Me-Time.

Sometimes we talk.
Other times we listen.
Often, we hear our hearts beating in rhythm with each other
singing silent love songs.

Me-Time.

One with the birds and the Creator.
One with me and all of life.
