We spend so much time trying to figure out who we are.
Am I my job? Am I my achievements? Am I what others say or think about me?
And even when we answer these questions, we continue to ask ourselves, “Who am I?
What if understanding who we are is as simple as knowing “I Am.”
God told Moses to call the Divine “I Am.” The Divine calls you and me “I Am.”
I Am formed by the Creator into the flesh and bones of a human being.
I Am the Essence of God, not God, but not other than God.
We are not our jobs.
We are not our possessions.
We are not our accomplishments or what others think or say about us.
You are, we are—I Am.
I Am a spark of the Divine, eternally connected to a Higher Power.
I Am a spiritual essence, a consciousness that reflects the nature of Divine Love.
Yet even the words, I Am, are a mere intellectual concept that points to a deeper truth we can only experience.
We can only touch the I Am with our hearts. We can only feel Divine Presence as a warmth within our bodies. It’s a felt Presence.
When I place my hands upon my chest and feel a warm light glowing deep within my heart, the I Am within me touches the Divine Source that is creating me.
I know, beyond understanding, this Presence is Real.
The I Am lives in me and I live in and have my Being in the I Am.
I Am. That is who we are. That is all we need to know. That is all I have to say.
I Am.
